I have collected vintage (and newer) needlepoint pieces for years. I love the details and truly appreciate the hours of work that went into each piece. I have many pieces displayed throughout my home.
Last week I was shopping at my local antique store when I found these two beauties, a pair of gorgeous needlepoint rooster pillows. The colors were great and the decorative trim was such a nice detail. When I realized the price included both pillows, I immediately put them in my shopping cart. An added bonus was that everything was twenty percent off in that booth.
I kept looking around the booth and found a bench full of needlepoint pillows. They were all so pretty that I decided to purchases almost all of them. I will keep my favorites and sell some of the other ones.
Lots of beautiful florals.
And so many great chicken and rooster pillows.
I ended up with a shopping cart full of needlepoint pillows. That certainly doesn’t happen every day.
It will be nice to rotate these with some of the ones that I have had out for a while. I think I will head back to that store tomorrow and see what new (or old) things have been brought into that booth.
What are your antiquing plans for this weekend?
No antiquing plans…..snow and ice in the Carolina’s. I’ve seen pillows like these and have the rooster pillow. I love needlepoint and especially Aubusson pillows and rugs. I have so many but I can’t resist a good buy….
