Dahlonega, Georgia is one of my favorite towns to visit. Located in the north Georgia mountains, it is the perfect place to shop and dine and is in close proximity to many beautiful hiking trails with amazing mountain and waterfall views. While visiting there in July for our anniversary, my husband and I made our usual stops to the local antique malls. As we were getting ready to leave we saw a new antique store and after shopping there, it immediately became my new favorite store in Dahlonega.
No. 3 Vintage is located right on the square in downtown Dahlonega (basement level though, under Paul Thomas Chocolates and Giggle Monkey Toys). While it isn’t a huge space (approximately 3,000 square feet), it is full of a great variety of high quality vintage and antique items. The store is divided into several large rooms that easily flow from one to the other. Each room is furnished by individual dealers and they are incredibly decorated from floor to ceiling. While each dealer has their own style, all of the rooms coordinate well together.
Owner Kelly Edwards has worked in the antique industry for years and has a real eye for style and design. Her shop includes antique and vintage items in shabby chic and French country styles. She also sells jewelry, candles, and soaps.
Every time I have been in there she has been very friendly and helpful. She is constantly fluffing and rearranging and her decorating skills are inspiring. Her store displays have definitely given me ideas for new ways of trying things in my own home. And just so you know, her booth is the first one on the right as soon as you get to the bottom of the stairs. She has a great collection of blue and white china, ironstone, creamers, alarm clocks, vintage office supplies, and more. She is always changing things around too.
Here are some photos of her booth.
She has a tempting display of vintage office supplies.
And some awesome vintage alarm clocks.
The other dealers have some noteworthy inventory too. One of the other dealers has some beautiful toleware including lamps, trays, and chandeliers.
More inventory from other dealers.
What did I purchase? I bought this beautiful round tole tray.
And this beautiful blue and white platter and covered serving bowl. It is in the Daisy pattern by Keeling & Company and was made in the late 1800s.
Next time you are in the north Georgia area, I recommend shopping at No. 3 Vintage. Here is some more information on the store.
