A Box Full of Aprons

Last month while shopping at an estate sale in Tallapoosa, Georgia, I came across a storage box tucked away underneath a table in the carport. I carefully pulled it out and was quite pleased to find that it was stuffed full of vintage aprons. Twenty seven aprons to be exact. I quickly tracked down Steve Lott, owner of Lott's Treasures, who was running the sale, and immediately negotiated a great … [Read more...]

New Display Space for My Booth

Last month I was walking through Ben's, the antique store where I have my booths when I saw some really awesome items in a friend's booth. It was two older display cabinets. I immediately inspected them but couldn't bring myself to buy them. I finally did buy them both,  about a week apart. Both of these pieces came from an old hardware store in Powder Springs, Georgia. They are both hand-made … [Read more...]

The Hwy 31W Treasure Hunt – Shopping in Kentucky and Tennessee

It is a 150 mile yard sale that goes from Nashville, Tennessee to Louisville, Kentucky. We started in Nashville and made it to Horse Cave, Kentucky. The best sales were definitely in Kentucky. We actually didn't find that many in Tennessee. … [Read more...]

Pyrex, China, and a Model Plane

I added quite a few new items to my booth in the past week. I am trying to get in the habit of taking things straight to the store rather than bringing them home.  My garage is so full right now. I went to an awesome neighborhood yard sale last week. One of my fellow booth owners is closing her booth this month and she was clearing out much of her stock that she had been keeping at home.  There … [Read more...]

Fairburn Antique Mall

I used to work in Peachtree City and would drive by this store on my way to work almost every day. I never shopped there though until my friend Anne opened a booth in the store. She took me there one day … [Read more...]

Junk Day at Woodstock Market

Yesterday when I wrote about visiting Woodstock Market I mentioned that I would be going to their Junk Day today. Well I did and it was a lot of fun. This is an event they hold every month or two. They rent spaces in their parking lot and dealers come and sell all kinds of stuff. They call it Junk Day but I saw lots of nice items. They had a huge variety, something for everyone. A lot of the … [Read more...]

Woodstock Market

Last weekend I attended an Atlanta blogger group meeting at the Woodstock Market in Acworth. The Atlanta Area Home/DIY Bloggers group was started by Erin Spain of DIY on the Cheap  and has regular meetings around Atlanta. This month we got to hear from Laura Whitlow with Rethunk Junk and Vickie Byrd with Bob's Upholstery. Vickie taught us how to do tufting. The class was a little advanced for … [Read more...]
