Vintage Art Deco Salt and Pepper Shakers

I don’t like saying it but last month’s World’s Longest Yard Sale was disappointing. Not only were there not as many sales to shop, there seemed to be a much higher percentage of antique dealers with antique store retail prices almost everywhere we stopped. I bought the least amount of “treasures” than I had in previous years.

With that being said, I did find a treasure trove  of vintage Art Deco salt and pepper shakers from a dealer in Dogtown, Alabama,  along with an amazing assortment of Royal Copley collectible birds, deer, and other wildlife. Today I will focus on the salt and pepper shakers and save the Royal Copley pieces for another day.

These shakers came in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. I took these pictures at my antique booth at Ben’s Antique and Market and I have already sold several sets.

Look at the artwork on these. All of these were made in Japan.

Aren’t these gorgeous? And this isn’t even all of them.  I also got quite a few Bakelite sets, as well as some beautiful silver plate sets. I will show you more in an upcoming post.
