Pyrex, China, and a Model Plane

I added quite a few new items to my booth in the past week. I am trying to get in the habit of taking things straight to the store rather than bringing them home.  My garage is so full right now.

I went to an awesome neighborhood yard sale last week. One of my fellow booth owners is closing her booth this month and she was clearing out much of her stock that she had been keeping at home.  There were quite a few good sales last weekend and I got a wide variety of items to sell in my booth.

I got this pretty hand-painted tole tray in a lot with several other trays. I like that it has brass handles.

I also got this clear glass tray with gold painting in the same lot.

This Ardco strawberry vase came from the same auction, as did the red vase. The strawberry vase sold the day after I put it in my booth…love when that happens.

This pink gooseberry Pyrex casserole sold within a couple of hours of me putting it in the booth. I have been selling a lot of Pyrex lately.

This is a mid-century set of flatware by Riviera. I had this old wooden box so I am selling them together.

This set of china came from another yard sale. It is by Crown Ming and is called Bird of Paradise. It has a white background with lots of pinks, greens, and blues. It has a small bird on each plate. I like that each place setting comes with a salad bowl instead of bread and butter plate, much more practical in my opinion.

I found this old college yearbook at a local thrift store. It is a Georgia Tech yearbook called Blue Print and is from 1954.

It has some cool fifties illustrations.

Don’t you just love the photos of the pretty college girls from the fifties?

I always keep an eye out for vintage sewing supplies, both for me and my booth. This basket weave vintage sewing basket is full of thread, some spools are even the old wooden ones.

This pelican and curvy melamine ship plates came from different auctions. They are displayed in an old wardrobe drawer that came from a awardrobe we bought that fell out of the truck on the way home (That’s a story I will have to share another day.).

Here is another drawer full of mostly recent auction items.

And finally, for the guys out there, I found this super-cool F-16 model airplane. It is 1/32 scale and has lots of detail.

Well that’s it for this week.  Hopefully there will be even more great sales this weekend.
