Neighborhood Yard Sale Finds

Last week I mentioned that I was looking forward to a local, semi-annual neighborhood yard sale. Normally there are at least sixty or seventy homes participating. Unfortunately, there weren’t nearly as many homes participating this year but I was still able to find a few good deals.

I found this pretty little pitcher. I also got these silk flowers. I got five sets of the flowers and used several of them in my booths. I think they add a nice touch of spring.

I added them to this little Hosley Potteries pitcher that I got over the weekend.

I also added them to this watering can. They go perfectly with the faded yellow color of the watering can.

I moved my Johnson Brothers Friendly Village china from its display on a dining room table and put it in the china cabinet I just added to the booth. I think it looks very pretty in here.

Here is the china cabinet. It is a Bassett and it is huge. At least it comes in two pieces. The bottom half actually looks very good by itself. It would make a great foyer piece or television console. I actually got this piece at an auction earlier this month.

This blue and white china set is quite old with some crazing and fading on some pieces. The brand is Lochs of Scotland, Royal Warwick. I kept four of the salad plates. I am thinking about hanging them in my foyer.

I also got this lovely set of red transferware. It includes four dinner plates and two salad plates.

Remember the Bombay Company? This table is in perfect condition and was made by the Bombay Company. It has a slide out shelf.

This blue and white cat is hand-painted and made by Andrea of  Sadek.

Although there weren’t as many yard sales as I had hope for, I still found quite a few nice things to add to my booth. Looking forward to seeing what I can find this upcoming weekend.
