A New Antique Booth and a Change of Direction

It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year since I have posted anything on my blog. A lot has happened in the past year and I have decided to change the focus of this blog. My original focus was on home decorating and DIY, and while I will still do some posts on those topics, I want to focus now on what has been occupying much of my time lately.

About a year and a half ago, I opened an antique booth with a friend of mine. I had always enjoyed shopping for antiques and my good friend Anne  invited me to share a booth with her. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot, but after a while I decided to expand and open my own booth. I got a double booth in the same antique mall to display and sell my finds and projects. Well this month I was given the opportunity to rent a new booth in the front of the store.

Not only is it a new booth, but also a new booth design.  The manager of the store decided to experiment with the booth design. My new booth has a pallet wall in the back and is open on three sides. I was a little hesitant about the layout (I like having three walls in my booth for display.), but I am happy with the way it turned out. The main reason I decided to move to the new booth is because it is in the front of the store in what I think is a great location.

Here are some photos of the new booth. I am still adding things and rearranging. It is definitely a work in progress. I had my first sale yesterday, the antique wooden trunk. It had sat in my other booth for months. image image image image image image image

My booth is located at Ben’s Furniture and Antiques in Douglasville, Georgia, at the corner of Highway 5 and Douglas Boulevard.  My new booth is called Pallet 1 and my other booth is B057. Just ask Barbara or Jennifer where they are. They both work at the front desk and are very helpful.

I hope you come by and visit soon. We are having a store-wide sale this weekend with each booth featuring at least one item that is 50 percent off. I plan on having several items marked down in both of my booths. I hope to see you there.
