Antique Booth

I have been busy the last few weeks working on a new project and I am excited to share it with you today. My friend Anne and I have opened an antique booth at Ben’s Antiques and Market in Douglasville, Georgia.

Ben’s just opened last Fall and is located in the old Kmart building on Highway 5. Remember shopping there as a kid? I know I do.

This was our booth before we started painting and furnishing it. It needed a lot of work. Everyone pitched in and helped.

My husband and daughter helped paint. Okay, a little song and dance may have been included too!

The store features new furniture in the center of the building and the perimeter of the building is filled with antique booths. Our booth is located in the very back right corner of the store. Some of the booth spaces around us are still empty but they seem to be filling up fast.

We will be selling a variety of vintage, antique, and handmade items.

I’ve already sold the binoculars and typewriter pictured below but I have added another Royal typewriter that is more than 100 years old with beveled glass on the sides. I will post a photo of it soon on my Facebook page.

We’ve got lots of china and will keep adding more.

Of course you know that no booth of mine would be complete without some cat decorations. One of these is from Japan and another is from Germany. The one wearing a necklace is Fenton Art Glass and the others are just cute.

This is one of Anne’s vintage outdoor furniture sets.

Anne is an avid collector of vintage clothing and the dress below is from her collection. She will be adding more pieces to the booth. Let us know if there is a specific size or style you are looking for. She probably has it in her collection.

Any Duck Dynasty fans out there? We’ve got some awesome duck decoys from the fifties that would look great in someone’s man cave.

We are having a lot of fun with our new business and we would love for you to stop by and visit our booth. It is still a work in progress and we are constantly adding new items. For more information on the store, call (770) 314-1197.
