I think the weather has finally warmed up enough for us to start enjoying spending more time outside. The temperatures have been all over the place this spring, but it is finally starting to feel like May in Georgia.
Now that pollen season is finally over (for the most part), I thought I would do some spring cleaning on my front porch. I decided to start with my bakers rack, which is covered in pollen. I went outside with the intent to clean it and change some things around on it, but before I could do anything, a bird flew out of one of my birdhouses I had on display. I guess the cleaning will have to wait until her babies have left the nest. I don’t guess those birds realized my bird houses were meant to be decorations and not living quarters!
The other end of my porch is bird-free so I decided to try out a new tablescape. I really like the way it turned out, very fresh and inviting.
I started with this pretty Cynthia Rowley tablecloth that I bought at Marshall’s. I also purchased the straw place mats there too.
I am using my Italian Countryside dinner and salad plates. They always look so good with everything.
I thought I would dress up the plain white napkins with some pretty seashells that my mother gave me.
We had such a long, cold winter this year and the blues and greens on the table look so nice with all of the natural greens in my yard.
The greenery is reflected in my dining room window.
I can’t remember the pattern name of these glasses, but we use them all the time.
The weather is just about perfect this time of year and I know we will enjoy having meals on our porch.
