Last year I hosted a bridal shower for my niece Hope. With a country-themed wedding planned at a ranch, I decided on a casual, country-themed shower. Highlights of her shower included the drinks. I served ice-cold Cokes in old-fashioned bottles in a bucket of ice and The Best Lemonade Punch ever in mason jars.
Here is a photo of the punch at her shower.
I started with a recipe that I found on Pinterest and made adjustments until it suited my (and my family’s) tastes. This punch was so popular that I saw people going back three or four times (not that I was counting). My daughter requests that I make this punch for special occasions. It’s pretty easy so I usually do make it for her (okay, for me too). Here is the recipe.
1 large can of Pineapple Juice (chilled)
1 2-liter bottle of Sprite (chilled)
1 cup of Country Time Lemonade mix
4 lemons (2 sliced for garnish and 2 squeezed (remove seeds))
3 to 4 cups of water (chilled)
Pour pineapple juice and Sprite into punch bowl or serving container. Add lemonade mix and stir until it has dissolved. Add the water. Add the juice of two lemons and the sliced lemons. Stir and add ice.
That’s it. Your family and friends are going to love this. You may want to double the recipe. That’s what I did for Hope’s shower. I made one batch and had the ingredients for the second batch chilled in the refrigerator. It is so quick and easy to make.
Another thing I did for the shower was make a batch of the punch a few days in advance. I then froze the punch in ice cube trays. I added the lemonade ice cubes to the punch bowl right before the party started. This made it easy to keep the punch cold without diluting the flavor.
Happy girl (Notice her glass. I think she is back for seconds. LOL!).
I served the punch in pint-sized mason jars with yellow and white striped straws. Super cute. I hope you try this recipe. It is one of our family’s favorites.
