Visiting the Paris Market

Last month I had the opportunity to visit The Paris Market and Brocante. What a fun place to shop and find inspiration for my home.

Owner Paula Danyluk traveled the world with her husband Taras before opening the Paris Market. Her eclectic tastes are reflected in the store merchandise with beautiful and unique home decor items from all over the world. Her store includes both new and vintage items. This store is located in downtown Savannah at 36 West Broughton Street. When visiting Savannah I normally prefer to visit antique shops but I had heard so many good things about this shop that I had to go.

Her displays included gorgeous china that were mixed with natural elements. The place setting below was one of several different patterns she had on display. I saw so many things that I wanted to take home with me.

They had beautiful and unique chandeliers including this one made of oyster shells. My girls were fascinated by these.

Rustic tables with farmhouse decor.

Paris Market 5

My youngest daughter told me I should buy this rustic birdhouse so I could paint and decorate it. She knows me well.

Paris Market 6

This was my favorite china pattern although I forgot to write down the name of it. The beautiful shell matches the china perfectly.

Paris Market 1

Lots of candles on display.

Paris Market 8

There was so much to see in this two story shop.

Paris Market 9

Beautiful coffee table books.

They had a children’s section that included these cute stuffed bunnies. Wouldn’t they look perfect in a little girl’s Easter basket? I looked at their website later and saw that they had other stuffed animals to choose from including cats wearing fish sweaters, goats in pajamas, cows in overalls,  even mustached frogs.

Paris Market 11

Such a great variety for a not so large store.

My girls posing in front of the store’s photo booth. They had hats and other props you could use but they chose this sign. Smile. I love my girls.

Visit the Paris Market if you get the chance. I plan on going back the next time I am in Savannah.

  1. Hi Kathy! I followed your link from the Haven FB group, it’s great to “meet” you! I am actually in Savannah right now for a short visit and stopped in The Paris Market for this first time yesterday! I am so looking forward to Haven and meeting more great blogging friends! Have a great day.

    • Hi Kimm, Isn’t it an awesome store! I am looking forward to Haven too. This will be my second year. Do you live in the Atlanta area? If so, you should consider joining the Atlanta Area Home/DIY bloggers Facebook group. It is a great way to meet other bloggers. Last month we had a meeting with a professional photographer and tomorrow we are going to learn how to upholster furniture. Have fun in Savannah. Can’t wait to go back there! Kathy

  2. Not sure if I’ve been to The Paris Market, but I love the shops along River Street. Savannah is such a lovely city! Years ago, I was roaming around the shops while my hubby was at a conference there, and found 2 great art pieces rolled up in a little shop. I had them framed and still love them to this day. I definitely am going to put The Paris Market on my list of shops to visit next time, Kathy. Love you pictures, and your daughters are darling:)
